Netflix are adapting Roald Dahl’s novels

Following the news that The Chronicles of Narnia will be adapted into films and TV series, Netflix are pulling from another British literary pillar – Roald Dahl..

The streaming service announced the news on their Twitter today, saying, “Netflix will adapt the Roald Dahl universe of stories as a new slate of animated event series. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and The BFG are just a few of the titles from the author’s beloved and award-winning library that will be reimagined for a new generation.”

It’s an exciting marriage – Dahl’s novels have always been ripe for adaptation, with Robert Zemeckis set to adapt The Witches for a new generation and Tales of the Unexpected making a comeback.

The tweet from Netflix also came with a little video, which we’ve attached…
