In Doctor Who Magazine 635, Doctor Who Brand Manager James Page revealed more details regarding the extra footage included in the 23 November cinema showing of The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, the 2006 two-part episode of Doctor Who.
The 1-hour and 48-minute screening is a new edit by Charlie Lowe including unused footage added to the combined two-episode cut. Ood voice actor Silas Carson recorded new lines for some scenes.
“The new cut has deleted scenes restored to their original places in the story – the acid rain returns!”

There is also a new exclusive bonus interview with director James Strong, reflecting on the making of the episode – from encounters with the Ood to facing the terrifying Beast – alongside behind-the-scenes memories from the set.
“We’ve also unearthed never-before-seen footage from the original rushes, adding even more to the ultimate Krop Tor experience.”
The Doctor Who Day screening of The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit will take place on 23 November 2026 in select theatres in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Doctor Who Magazine 635 is available from Thursday 15 October at Panini and news outlets priced £11.99 (UK). Also available as a digital edition from Pocketmags priced £7.99.
