The much anticipated TV adaptation of Good Omens has just cast Nick Offerman alongside David Tennent, Michael Sheen and Jon Hamm.
Offerman is believed to be playing the U.S Ambassador who was meant to raise the Anti-Christ, but due to a mishap ends up raising a normal human child instead. This casting means Offerman’s moustache will be shaved in favour of a clean look.
The novel, written by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett has spent a lot of time in development hell since its 1990 release. Even with names like Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones being attached to separate works, there wasn’t enough confidence from backers to fund the projects.
However, with the success of adaptations of Gaiman’s Stardust and most recently American Gods, Amazon Prime and BBC have commissioned this star studded six-part mini series which will be streamed in 2019.
