Paul Whitehouse can currently be seen on cinema screens around the UK in The Death Of Stalin. But he’s also got another project on the go: he’s resurrecting the character of DJ Mike Smash!
Smash was one half of Smashie & Nicey, the radio DJs that he and Harry Enfield brought to life in the 1990s. And as music channels get ready to stuff their schedules with Yuletide hits in December, Whitehouse is hosting two festive musical compilation shows on Gold in December.
Here’s the preview video that Gold has released…
The two hour-long specials will be shown over Christmas, and Whitehouse has penned them along with Dave Cummings.
The show will go by the name of Smashie’s Xmastastic Playlist. Harry Enfield isn’t appearing in the programmes, incidentally.
