Ben Miller will be back for another set of smart investigations.
Jasper Tempest, Professor of Criminology at Cambridge University, was last with us in Spring of 2024 for his third series.
Now, ahead of series 4 which is due later this year, itv have confirmed a fifth run of investigations with Ben Miller’s Professor T.

Fans of the smart crime drama are set for further surprises in series five. With six brand new episodes featuring some unexpected new relationships and more complex crimes for the Professor and police unit to tackle; including a boxing match that takes a bloody turn and a series of inexplicable sudden deaths at an upmarket spa, many favourite characters will face some tough choices, and the stakes for Professor T and his team have never been higher.
Ben Miller stars alongside Frances de la Tour (Harry Potter) as the Professor’s mother Adelaide Tempest. Juliet Stevenson (King and Conqueror) also returns as psychologist Dr Helena Goldberg, while Zoe Wanamaker (Bergerac) appears as the Professor’s aunt, Zelda Radclyffe.
Also retrning are Barney White as Detective Dan Winters, Sunetra Sarker as DCI Maiya Goswami and Rhian Blundell as Detective Chloe Highsmith.

The show comes from Eagle Eye Drama, which is part of ITV Studios, for ITV and PBS Distribution. The series 5 directors are Kaat Beels and Joel Vanhoebrouck, while Matt Baker produces.
