The Apprentice added 400,000 new viewers for the third episode of the reality show’s latest run, averaging 23.2% of viewers in the slot. However, things are not going so well for Sir Ian McKellen’s comedy Vicious on ITV, which sank another 1 million viewers from the opening episode’s 5.68m to just 2.66m for the latest instalment.
BBC One found great success with new nursing drama Frankie, starring Torchwood’s Eve Myles, attracting 20.3% of viewers on Tuesday night with an average audience of 4.6 million, while Neil Gaiman’s second Doctor Who episode, ‘Nightmare in Silver’, took in a similar rank of 4.7 million, a slight dip in viewers for the penultimate episode of the series.
The Eurovision Song Contest has been picking up interest in store for the tomorrow night’s Saturday final, with Wednesday’s semi-final entertaining around 820k viewers.
