Sandra Oh is back on our screens since leaving her decade stint on award winning and fan favourite Grey’s Anatomy. However, she can’t get away from namesake titles. Oh plays the the apparent target in BBC America’s Killing Eve.
The show, which premiered in the US last night, focuses on two women on opposite sides of the law. Oh is an American working with British Intelligence who gets tangled up in identifying the culprit of an assassination and the protection of a witness.
During an interview Oh was asked about how the show might appeal to Grey’s Anatomy fans. She explains how the show has an overarching serious tone, but that individual scenes can catch you off guard with the humour. She goes on to explain that it is the relationship between the two women that is at the heart of the show; while it is not a friendship, they are psychologically connected on some level.
Killing Eve currently airs Sunday nights on BBC America and will be given a prime time slot on BBC 1 later this year.
