You can’t get enough of a good thing, or so it seems when it comes to Slow Horses

Apple TV+’s hit spy series, following the exploits of Jackson Lamb and his colleagues at Slough House, drops its fifth season this September.

With a sixth run already confirmed, the streamer continue to put their faith in the spy drama, commissioning season 7 as well.

Slow Horses season 4

Jay Hunt, creative director, Europe, Apple TV+, said:

“‘Slow Horses’ has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses’ slightly inept spycraft.”

In season 7, Lamb and his Slow Horses are on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state. This appears to be an adaptation of the novel Bad Actors, the eighth in writer Mick Herron’s book series.

The series comes from See-Saw Films, with Mick Herron’s books adapted for television by Will Smith.

Beyond Season 7?

With Sir Gary Oldman scooping numerous awards for the irascible Jackson Lamb, it’s no wonder Apple TV+ are keen to continue. If they need an eighth series, Mick Herron’s forthcoming Clown Town is out this September, and there are a number of novellas too.

We’ll keep you posted on Slow Horses seasons 5, 6 and 7 – season 5 premieres on September 24th, 2025, adapting the novel London Rules.
