The makers of Poldark have officially announced when the second season will begin on BBC One.
The Hobbit star Aidan Turner reprises his role as Ross Poldark alongside Eleanor Tomlinson as his wife Demelza in ten new episodes.
The award-winning Cornish saga will return to Sunday nights on BBC One from 4 September.

Poldark launched on BBC One in March 2015, peaking with 9.4 million viewers across TV and iPlayer, and Season 2 started filming in Cornwall last September.

The BBC recently commissioned a third season of Poldark, to air in 2017. Season 3 will begin filming across Cornwall and Bristol later this year.
