After last month’s first poster image, Marvel have dropped an engaging trailer for I Am Groot. 

Kicking off a slew of Marvel announcements from the San Diego Comic Con, the trailer for the twiglet’s series of shorts promises plenty of summer fun. Staring the sapling, who’s more properly known as a Flora colossus, the shorts will see him on his own adorable small-scale adventures.

The stories promise to follow the young Groot through his glory days. The clip, which sees him find a novel way out of trouble certainly sets the tone. The montage that follows it offers pure joy…

Across the five-story collection, Vin Diesel reprises his role as the voice of Groot with Bradley Cooper’s Rocket also expected to make an appearance. The collection comes from director Kirsten Lepore, with The Guardians of the Galaxy guru James Gunn taking an executive producer role.
