Free of Doctor Who commitments, Steven Moffat is now working with Mark Gatiss again on bringing a new TV take on Dracula to the smaller screen.
The pair have kept quite quiet about the approach they’re looking to take, but in a new interview on Radio 2 over the weekend, Moffat confirmed that they will be looking to reinvent the Dracula story “in a Sherlock-y way”.
He added that it wouldn’t be in the same way, and that “we’re not modernising it or anything, but we are doing a version of Dracula”.
The plan is for three episodes of 90 minutes apiece – a la Sherlock – with the likelihood being that the show won’t be on our screens until 2020.
More, as always, as we hear it…
