Maya Hawke has just been announced as a new addition to the flagship Netflix show. Daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke will play ‘alternative girl’ by the name of Robin.

Hawke’s character, Robin will uncover a dark secret as she jumps right into the mysteries that surround Hawkins when she becomes bored of her day job. How she fits in with the existing cast remains to be seen and more details about her background will most likely surface once filming starts.

Maya started her career modelling for Vogue before becoming the face of British fashion house AllSaints. Her acting debut was set to be in Sofia Coppola’s live action retelling of the Little Mermaid, but creative differences have led to the project being shelved by the film studio.

Instead, Maya was seen playing Jo March in BBC’s Little Women remake. Hawke was able to bring a new and fresh interpretation to the fiery March sister and gained favourable reviews.

In addition to this, Priah Ferguson known as Lucas’ scene stealing sister from series two has been upgraded to series regular.
