Apple describe the show as “genre-bending” – whatever that means. It stars Colin Farrell, who also executive produces. Sugar come from creator Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend).
From Apple Studios, Sugar is directed by Fernando Meirelles, who also executive produces with Simon Kinberg (Deadpool), Audrey Chon, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich. It’s the second collaboration between Apple TV+ and Kinberg’s Genre Films, following Invasion, which recently scored a second series.
