The Royal Albert Hall’s Films in Concert series continues later this year with the classic ’70s Superman movie!

Originally released over 40 years ago, Richard Donner’s film showcased a young Christopher Reeve alongside a star-studded cast including Margot Kidder as intrepid reporter Lois Lane, Gene Hackman as the villainous Lex Luthor, and the inimitable Marlon Brando as Jor-El.

Superman in Concert takes place on Tuesday 27th October at 7:30pm at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The event sees the film played in high-definition on the big screen, accompanied by John Williams’ triumphant original score being performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra live to picture.

Donner’s beloved film adaptation relays the inspiring origins of Superman, from his narrow escape as an infant from the doomed planet Krypton, to his formative years on a farm in Smallville, Kansas, and finally to his arrival in Metropolis, where he leads dual lives as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent and as the mythical ‘Man of Steel’.
