Supernatural season 15 has now dropped its final episodes on Netflix US, so we assume the current UK run will now include the end of season.
After fifteen seasons, Supernatural has reached the end. Probably. Episodes 14-20 were delayed due to COVID-19 (like many other productions) but are now complete. It’s expected this will then give Netflix viewers while to watch, and if other shows are anything to judge by, the show might be available for some years.
In the UK it’s not as straightforward. Currently Supernatural season 15 is available on E4 and All 4, and viewers can currently get access to episode 12, the curiously titled Galaxy Brain. We would expect the current run to continue then follow standard practice for the channel, in other words it may be available for some short time but is likely to then be taken off. It’s possible it might then be able to move to Netflix UK, but that would not be a certainty by any means, and depend on the contracts in place with Channel 4.
Is this really the end for Supernatural? Well fifteen seasons is impressive by any standards (and let’s not forget Doctor Who) and shows do get old. This latest series does score a 100% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes (only 9 ratings though) and a strong 71% audience score, so no sign there of lack of fan interest. Of course there’s already some what next speculation. Our advice? Enjoy the rest of season 15 and treat anything else as a bonus. We are rather spoiled for quality television at the moment, so plenty more to look out for.
