Titan Books has published today (December 8 2020) a new hardback book The Art of Star Trek Discovery
We’ve been enjoying Star Trek: Discovery season 3 (see our review of the latest episode here) and one of the many things that appeal to us is the stunning visuals. It seems both CGI and set/costume design has reached new levels of quality and impact, and it’s all contributing to our impression of the show. Today sees a new book The Art of Star Trek Discovery, reminding us just how much work went into the first two series. Running at 192 pages, and with a mix of interviews, set photography, concept art and storyboards, it promises exclusive content from the first two seasons. If you’d like to know more, SyFy Wire has an exclusive preview. The book is written by Paula M. Block and Terry J. Erdmann.
The Art of Star Trek Discovery is available now from all suppliers, and Titan Books has recommended prices of $49.95 US/Canada, £39.99 UK/ Rest of World. On a quick survey we’ve found it for just under £30. No doubt prices will drop post-Christmas. Speaking of which, where is out list for Santa… We’ve definitely been (fairly) good this year!
