The Gift season 3 trailer is out ahead of this month’s release

The Gift season 3 is on Netflix from June 17, and you can get in the mood now by heading over to the trailer. If you’ve not watched before, do think about giving it a try — the first two seasons are on Netflix. One thing you need to know — there’s an eight year gap between seasons 2 and 3, something fairly unusual for series.

The series is Turkish, and (like Egyptian series Paranormal) makes a refreshing change from all the US / UK shows we tend to be flooded with. OK, and the scandi-dramas. The story-telling is slightly different, the settings are more varied and there’s a mood.

Meanwhile back to The Gift. The core idea is:

The series follows the life of Atiye who is a young and beautiful painter and leads the perfect life in Istanbul; she has a loving family, a wealthy and lovable boyfriend, and to top it all off, she is about to open her first solo exhibition. But her perfect life is about to change with a discovery made in the most ancient temple on Earth, Göbekli Tepe. An archeologist named Erhan, discovers a symbol in the ruins, a symbol that connects Atiye to Göbekli Tepe in a very mysterious way. And now, Atiye will turn her life upside down and spark a quest to discover the secrets of her past, secrets hidden within those ancient ruins.

The main cast is: Beren Saat as Atiye, Mehmet Gunsur, Metin Akdulger Melisa Senolsun, Basak Koklukaya, Civan Canova and Tim Seyfi. You can catch the trailer now.
