The Mandalorian Season 3 official trailer lands

Mandalorians, Jedis and old friends abound in The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer.

With the series landing on March 1st, the official trailer for Season 3 of The Mandalorian dropped last night. Amid a US Football clash, it was heralded by a gorgeous new poster.

Here’s the trailer for Season 3:

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

With an emphasis on Mando teaching his adopted son The Way of his creed, the trailer show plenty of travel. Yet, as Djardin introduces Grogu to the precepts of his scattered sect, it is clear he is questioning their purpose too.

In addition to plenty of intriguing visuals, and a horde of Mandalorians, we saw a few old friends; the sight of engineer Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris) means a return to Tatooine, while a reunion with Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) suggests a trip to Nevarro.

Din also enjoyed warning from our favourite New Republic officer Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee). This perhaps comes ahead of his planned trip to Mandalore to restore his honour, as prefaced in The Book of Boba Fett. It’s doubtless why the sect’s Armourer (Emily Swallow) appears.

Or could it be about the four lightsabre wielding Jedis we glimpsed and what they are facing? Certainly Grogu appears to be comfortable using the force to keep himself safe.

Also confirmed as appearing this season are Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Christopher Lloyd in an as yet unannounced role.
