Tommy Shelby returns to show us the Peaky Blinders during WWII.
After endless speculation, the Peaky Blinders movie is really happening. is confirmed. The story becomes a feature film – albeit one destined for the small screen on Netflix.
The movie will be made in association with BBC Film and Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) returns to his leading role of Tommy Shelby.
Tom Harper, who directed episodes of the show’s first season, will direct the movie from a script by the Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
According to Netflix’s Tudum, “… the film, which goes into production later this year, will be an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning, six-season gangster saga. Set in Birmingham between 1919 and 1934, Peaky Blinders followed the rise (and sometimes fall) of the Shelby family as they navigated a world wracked with radical social, economic, and political change.”

Cillian Murphy said:
