Titled Going for Gold in the US, Bert and Dickie is the uplifting story of Bert Bushnell (Matt Smith) and Dickie Burnell (Sam Hoare), who were thrown together just five weeks before the final of the 1948 London Olympics and rose above distinctions of birth and class to become Olympic gold medallists.
Bert and Dickie will air on Wednesday 25th July at 8.30pm on BBC One and at 8pm on BBC America.
