Full of political intrigue, Trinity comes from writer Jed Mercurio. 

While we wait on confirmation of another Line of Duty season, its creator Jed Mercurio is keeping busy. Not only is executive producing further series of Trigger Point, starring LoD‘s Vicky McClure, but he has a Netflix drama in the works.

Trinity reteams Mercurio with Richard Madden (The Bodyguard, Citadel), who stars Gugu Mbatha Raw (Surface, Loki).

The eight-episode drama tells the story of a heroic female naval officer who becomes involved with the outwardly charismatic secretary of defence, only to discover he may be at the heart of a dangerous conspiracy.

Jed Mercurio serves as writer and showrunner on Trinity. He also executive produces the series alongside Jimmy Mulville for Hat Trick Mercurio and Wendy Mericle. Michael Cuesta will direct and executive produce the first and second episodes.
