It’s all change in the latest Nielsens as new thriller True Story takes the top spot
Last week The Wheel of Time took the top spot in the Nielsens, but November 22-28 tells a different story as new entrant True Story takes the honours, and the new Marvel / Disney show Hawkeye makes the number 2 spot.
Our data analytics team are back from the solstice, but have taken time off for Christmas as well. Luckily we were able to make an abacus using various spare Christmas tree ornaments and tinsel, so are able to bring out usual insight. Lets dive into the data…

True Story holds off Hawkeye and The Wheel of Time
True Story was the clear leader according to our episodes column, more so than sheer time watched. It’s a good start for Hawkeye (as we expected) and a large drop for Wheel of Time. We hadn’t been tracking the Netflix entry, but that aside, we see this is a substantial drop for the Amazon show, though we still expect more seasons.
What else happened?
It’s a good week for variety: 6 entries from Netflix (which often has 8-10), and two each from Amazon and Disney+. Lots of new shows popping up and a big range of titles from The Beatles to Hanna. A decent showing for the already cancelled Cowboy Bebop.
What can we look forward to?
As the Nielsens hit December, Lost in Space season 3 appears on Netflix, so expect it, True Story and Hawkeye to do well. We’re looking for a bounce for Wheel of Time, but whatever happens, we’ll bring you the details.
