ITV’s Tina and Bobby is an epic love story about an ordinary girl who falls for an ordinary boy only to be swept up in an extraordinary life.
Nineteen-year-old Tina Dean (Michelle Keegan) married Bobby Moore (Lorne MacFadyen) for love, little knowing that their marriage would be defined by history.
Tina struggled as a housewife but Bobby’s star ascended as he became England captain aged just 23. When Tina fell pregnant their future looked bright… until Bobby was diagnosed with cancer. Sworn to secrecy, Tina proved Bobby’s rock as he fought his way back to fitness but he and Tina clashed when a stand off with his club manager jeopardised his World Cup prospects.
When England won the World Cup in July 1966, Bobby became a national hero and Tina was jettisoned from suburban housewife to a role in the spotlight. She and Bobby became football’s ‘golden couple’ and Tina was the first WAG.
But their celebrity lifestyle came at a cost. Bobby was arrested while training for the 1970 World Cup and they were the target of a kidnap threat. When Bobby’s playing career waned and business decisions left them in debt cracks started to show in their relationship and Tina faced the biggest battle of all, to save their marriage.

When Tina Dean (Michelle Keegan) meets Bobby Moore (Lorne MacFadyen) it’s love at first sight, and Tina abandons her career to marry him. Although she struggles as a housewife, Bobby’s star ascends as he becomes England captain, and when Tina falls pregnant their future looks bright…until Bobby is diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Sworn to secrecy, Tina shoulders the burden of his illness alone and proves herself his rock, and the birth of baby Roberta consolidates their bond. Bobby resumes playing, but he and Tina clash when Bobby jeopardises his World Cup prospects.
A contrite Bobby backs down, promising Tina that everything will get back to normal after the World Cup…

Bobby (Lorne MacFadyen) leads England to World Cup glory and the lovers are reunited amidst the raucous celebrations. Tina (Michelle Keegan) joins Bobby in the spotlight and fame and fortune follow, as they become icons of their time.
When baby Dean arrives, Tina thinks she has it all, only for her mother’s sudden death to change everything. The price of fame soon becomes clear when Tina is besieged after Bobby is arrested in Bogota, and although he goes on to play brilliantly at the Mexico World Cup they return home to a kidnap threat.
With fame driving a wedge between them, when Bobby causes a tabloid splash Tina confronts him: is success destroying their marriage?

Tina (Michelle Keegan) and Bobby (Lorne MacFadyen) try to escape their marriage troubles by investing in their future but a disastrous business venture mires them in debt just as Bobby’s playing career wanes.
Tina starts working and Bobby winds up managing a lowly non-league side. Tina dismisses rumours he’s having an affair, until her worst fears are confirmed. Tina tries to win Bobby back but when he confesses to loving the other woman her world collapses.
The marriage ends with Bobby giving her everything, and Tina cathartically sells it all before making a fresh start. They meet for the last time by chance, their love undiminished by the passage of time…
