‘Before The Flood’ airs at 8.25pm on Saturday 10 October on BBC One.

Here are 10 teasing spoiler-free lines of dialogue from the episode…

‘I don’t care about your rules or your bloody survivor’s guilt.’

‘Enough to bring an armada. Enough to wake me from my sleep.’

‘At the risk of starting a bidding war, you could enslave me.’

‘However that sentence ends – no, we can’t.’

‘What if I don’t die? What if I refuse?’

‘Is there another way to dangle somebody out of a window?’

‘It’s already happened. The proof is right there in front of you.’

‘That’s the thing about knowing you’re going to die. You’ve got nothing left to lose.’

‘So there’s this man – he has a time machine.’

‘Who’s next on the list?’
