The third season of Glee concludes this week on Sky1 and school’s out for summer at McKinley High as some of our favourite Gleeks don their cap and gown.
The real powerful drama of the episode comes from the inspired tough-guy/gal pairing of Coach Bieste and Puck.
After the last season’s prom episode was so dramatic, most notably because of Kurt’s crowning as “prom queen”, Prom-asaurus had a lot to live up to.
Glee has been coasting on camp and lightly entertaining for a while now, so it’s a pleasant surprise to see the show’s return to poignancy.
Dance with Somebody has a strong mix of the great musical and emotional moments that made Glee’s first year so iconic, giving us one of the best episodes of Season 3 so far.
After wallowing in the background, with little but a half-hearted love interest storyline to show for this entire season, it is great to see more of Amber Riley’s Mercedes.
The third season of Glee continues tomorrow night on Sky1 and a disco inferno rages at McKinley when the New Directions pay homage to Saturday Night Fever.
