The writers for the 10-part series are being led by creator Russell T Davies, who is also writing the first and last episodes of the series. Davies recently hinted that he will step down from Torchwood after the new series.
Episode 2 is written by Doris Egan, who has previously written for Smallville, Dark Angel and House.
Former BuffyThe Vampire Slayer writer/producer Jane Espenson is writing Episodes 3, 5 and 7, as well as co-writing Episode 8 with comic book writer Ryan Scott.
John Shiban, who has worked on The X-Files, Smallville, Supernatural and Breaking Bad, is writing Episode 6.
Episode 4 and 9’s writers have yet to be announced.
Torchwood: Miracle Day will begin on BBC One in July.
