Another director has been revealed for the new season of Doctor Who.
Following last week’s news that Charles Palmer (‘Smith and Jones’, ‘Human Nature’) and Daniel Nettheim (‘The Zygon Invasion’) are both returning to direct episodes, it has now emerged that Wayne Yip will make his Doctor Who debut helming upcoming Season 10 episodes.
Yip has experience in the Whoniverse, however, having directed the two most recent episodes Class.
‘The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did’ and ‘Detained’ have been widely received as two of the best instalments of BBC Three’s new Doctor Who spin-off so far.

Yip has also previously directed episodes of Utopia, Tatau, Misfits and Billie Piper’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
He let slip the Doctor Who news on Twitter at the weekend.
Rachel Talalay (‘Dark Water’, ‘Death in Heaven’, ‘Heaven Sent’, ‘Hell Bent’) is expected to return to direct Season 10’s finale.
12 new Doctor Who episodes have been filming in Cardiff since June and will begin airing on BBC One in April 2017.
