Doctor Who star Karen Gillan has revealed that Amy Pond’s guard will “start to crack” in the show’s sixth series, which begins later this month.
Speaking to SFX in the magazine’s new issue, Gillan commented: “I think [Amy]’s going to develop a lot. Amy’s very guarded, and doesn’t like to show her emotions, because she doesn’t want to show her vulnerability.”
She continued: “She has trust issues with what happened with the Doctor when she met him as a little girl. And she’s kept that hidden in the last series… And I think we’re going to see that guard start to crack.”
Series 6 of Doctor Who begins on Saturday 23rd April on BBC One.
Issue 208 of SFX magazine is available in shops today.
