The six-part series follows “the lives and loves of a group of quirky 16 year old girls who play on the same school football team and live on the same inner city estate”.

Produced by Justin Davies (Absolutely Fabulous, Beautiful People, Psychoville) and directed by Adam Miller (Mongrels), Some Girls stars Adelayo Adedayo (Skins) as Viva, Colin Salmon (Die Another Day) as her dad Rob, Dolly Wells (Spy) as her stepmother Anna and Natasha Jonas (Attack the Block) Mandeep Dhillon (Some Dogs Bite) and Alice Felgate (The Cabin) as her friends.

Justin Davies commented: “Some Girls is a very funny snapshot of four underdogs. It is an unadulterated celebration of teenage life; messy, sexy and a little bit wrong – but always lots of fun.”
