Work continues on the new reboot of The Moomins, that’s set to arrive on our screens in 2019. It’ll be a CG take on the original stop-frame production, and 13 22-minute episodes have been ordered and are being worked on.
Already lending their voices to the show are Rosamund Pike, Kate Winslet, Taron Egerton, Will Self, Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade. Now we learn too that Alison Steadman, Matt Lucas and Jennifer Saunders have been recruited.
Saunders will be playing Mymble in the series, Lucas will be Teety-Woo, and Steadman is playing Emma the Stage Rat.
The new show goes by the name of Moominvalley, and is being backed by Sky 1.
