Looking a lot like the Sonic Sunglasses (maybe he’s just upgraded them from this pair?), and giving the wearer ‘Predator vision’, Eleven uses these in ‘The Hungry Earth’ to spot a Silurian.
And they must be good, because they manage to differentiate the temperature difference between a cold-blooded creature and the ambient temperature of Wales.
2. Twelve’s Sonic Sunglasses
Technology apparently 9 million years ahead of the Human race, and 10 million years ahead of Google Glass (#GoogleBurn), the sonic sunnies can summon the TARDIS, run diagnostics, project a hologram, erase memories, unlock shackles, and make you look incredibly laid-back while all that happens.
They are the Deus Specs Machina. Do they have a decent UV rating though?
1. Ten’s Brainy Specs
Like Five, he doesn’t need to wear them, but that’s not really the point. Ten puts his tortoiseshells on and suddenly it seems like he knows everything, can think his way out of anything. And as they top off his whole ‘nerd chic’ vibe, he looks rather good in them.
