10 ‘Torchwood’ monsters that should appear in ‘Doctor Who’

Here are ten Torchwood nasties that should make the move to Doctor Who…

3. Fairies

The Gollum-like Fairies were another creature created for Torchwood by Sapphire & Steel writer Peter J Hammond. The idea that all the legends of fairy folk are actually based on these creepy child-snatchers was probably more of a Doctor Who plotline in the first place, so perhaps Hammond could introduce them into the parent show.

Perhaps he could bring Sapphire and Steel with him, for all us 80s sci-fi TV buffs out there.

2. The 456

The big bads of Children of Earth, those crustaceous, projectile-vomiting space invaders known as the 456 (because of the frequency they used to send Earth messages) are exactly the sort of high-calibre Torchwood monster that deserve to crossover to Who.

Sure, there MO of using kids to get high would be too grotesque for a family audience but we’ll leave it to the writers to think of something else for them to do.

1. Captain John Hart

Practically the Master to Jack’s Doctor, rogue Time Agent Captain John would ostensibly be a weird one to feature on Doctor Who. Darn it, though, he’s played by Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and that’s a crossover we want to see.

John’s bad boy charms would make for a great contrast to the grumpy Twelfth Doctor. A still of him even appeared as one of the galaxy’s greatest criminals in 2014’s ‘Time Heist’!
