‘Let’s Kill Hitler’

Inside the Tessalecta, a time-travelling justice machine with a remit to ensure criminals of the past pay for their crimes, sat a miniaturised crew, protected by antibodies.

With the ability to change its shape and look like anybody, the Tessalecta came in handy when the Eleventh Doctor needed to cheat fate and avoid his well-advertised death at Lake Silenco’.

 

‘Logopolis’

In the Fourth Doctor’s final adventure, it was not the Time Lord himself but the TARDIS that shrunk in size.

In attempting to fix the faulty chameleon circuit, which should enable the ship to blend in seamlessly with its surroundings, the Doctor visited the mathematicians of Logopolis. Unfortunately, the Master was already there and had fatally altered the calculation…

 

‘Flatline’

The exterior dimensions of the TARDIS shrink when something is draining the ship’s energy in modern-day Bristol.

With the Doctor trapped inside, Clara befriends graffiti artist Rigsy and the pair investigate the disappearance of several people from the local community. Using the Boneless’s energy against them (thanks to a painting of a door on the back of an old poster), the TARDIS is later restored to its usual size and the Doctor sends the creatures back to their own dimension.
