Damian Lewis and Kelly McDonald star in the adaptation of Matt Haig’s bestseller.
Ahead of its premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Sky have dropped a trailer for The Radleys.
The film is based on Matt Haig’s novel of the same name and stars Damian Lewis (in dual roles) and Kelly MacDonald as a pair of vampires who have settled into suburbia, supressing their blood-sucking cravings.
Here’s the synopsis:
The Radleys are an ordinary family who hold a dark secret… they are abstaining vampires. As if being a teenager wasn’t bad enough, bloodthirsty instincts take over the teens of the family revealing the terrifying truth and opening the door for an extended family member to re-enter and upend The Radleys’ once perfect slice of suburbia.
The Radleys also stars Harry Baxendale (Shadow and Bone) as Rowan, with Bo Bragason (Renegade Nell, The Jetty) as Clara. Plus, Shaun Parkes (Small Axe) and Sophia Di Martino (Loki).
The screenplay comes from Tabitha Stevenson and Jo Brand. The director is Euros Lynn (His Dark Materials, Heartstopper).
The film is getting a UK cinema release on 18th October 2024, as well as landing on Sky Cinema that day too.
