Brian Cox is ‘The Controller’ in 007: Road to a Million, setting the show’s fiendish challenges.
Updated 24/10/23: Ahead of the show’s launch, Prime Video release a full trailer and the contestant line-up.
Earlier this month we had a teaser, now Prime Video have dropped the trailer for their new “action gameshow.”
007: Road to a Million promises a global adventure (don’t tell Greta!) as nine pairs of contestants take on the challenge with the potential of netting a £1,000,000 prize.
We also know now the identities of the nine pairs of contestants. They include a romantic couple, sisters, brothers, friends and a father and son team.
Different as they are, they all face one question… how far would you go for £1,000,000?
While James Bond will doubtless return, there’s no sign of a post-Daniel Craig 007 on the horizon as yet. However, this show looks like an entertaining diversion while we wait.
007: Road to a Million launches globally at Prime Video on 10th November, 2023.

007: Road to a Million – first teaser for Bond action gameshow
Brian Cox is ‘The Controller’, setting the fiendish challenges for the show’s wannabe double-oh agents.
Marketing teams love a ‘day’, don’t they? With the 5th of October christened “James Bond Day”, commemorating the world premiere of the first big screen Bond outing, it’s also a good moment to drop the teaser for Prime Video’s new Bond themed game show.
Inspired by his onscreen adventures, 007: Road to a Million stars Brian Cox (Succession) as ‘The Controller’.
Here’s the premise for the show:
“The Controller” has hidden 10 questions around the world for each pair of contestants, who have a chance of winning £1,000,000. To reach these questions, the pairs face Bond-inspired challenges, which push their physical strength and mental reserves to the limit. Each question is worth an increasing amount of money, and if answered correctly, they bank the cash and continue to the next question. If they get it wrong, their journey is over.
At first glance, it looks like an impossibly high stakes fusion of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and The Krypton Factor!
Packed into that teaser are some of the show’s global locations, including the Scottish Highlands, Chile’s Atacama Desert, Venice and the Swiss Alps.
007: Road to a Million is a collaboration between Amazon Studios, EON Productions, 72 Films and MGM Alternative.
The show launches globally at Prime Video on 10th November, 2023.
