Of the the ten episodes of Doctor Who Series 11, only Episodes 9 and 10 don’t have announced titles.
Episode 9 is written by Ed Hime and directed by Jamie Childs.
The Blind Teen-aged Girl
A blind, teenaged actress is likely to appear in Episode 9.
Early in Series 11 production, casting director Andy Pryor put out a casting call for genuinely-blind actress to portray a 13-15-year-old character called Lene for a BBC One television drama. The call for the actress stated that she must be available between November 1 and December 17 of 2017. This fits the time slot for Block 1 of Doctor Who Series 11, the first block filmed by director Jamie Childs.
So who was cast in the role of Lene? An actress fitting the description is followed by both Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole on Twitter. Her name is Ellie Wallwork.

Wallwork has previously appeared on television in Call the Midwife and in a film called Imagine. She has her own website. Wallwork is a singer and songwriter as well as an actress.
Lene will not necessarily be the name of the blind teenaged girl in Episode 9. Character names are known to change over the course of production.
Doctor Who Episode 9 airs on Sunday, December 2 on BBC One and BBC America.
