Introducing Moon Knight – featurette for the upcoming Disney+ show

Posted Filed under

Ethan Hawke, Oscar Isaac and exec Kevin Feige set up their new Marvel show.

In all the anticipation for Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s easy to forget there’s another live-action genre show coming to Disney+ really soon.

Moon Knight, tells the story of a mild-mannered museum gift-shop employee who discovers he has another life. Due to a dissociative identity disorder, Steven Grant shares his body with a mercenary named Marc Spector. As enemies converge, the pair must deal with their identity issues while encountering a deadly mystery amongst powerful Egyptian gods.

Now, with the show less than a month away, Disney+ have released a featurette to build the anticipation.

Introducing Moon Knight

In Introducing Moon Knight, the show’s chunky jumpered star Oscar Isaac discusses the show being a character study and references its treatment of mental health issues. Ethan Hawke, who plays the intense cult leader Arthur Harrow talks up the fun of the story’s new world, while director Mohammed Diab explains how we’ll be drawn into it.

Executive Producer and Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige references the show’s distinct visual look while actor May Calamawy likens its tone to a mashup of Fight Club and Indiana Jones. Yup, we’re still scratching our heads about that one too!

Here’s the show’s trailer from January:

“I can’t tell the difference between my waking life and dreams.”
