Jodie Whittaker, in character as the Doctor, offered encouragement and advice in special recorded message to her fans everywhere as they cope in isolation with the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with a message urging people to be kind, listen to doctors and keep safe, she revealed that she is hiding from Sontarans and “will see you very soon.” Has the Doctor escaped the prison asteroid?

Showrunner Chris Chibnall shared a short story he penned: Things She Thought While Falling

Other Doctor Who actors and creatives have shared how they are coping with the pandemic and the resulting isolation and how we all can help.

Jodie Whittaker and Peter Capaldi urge people not to forget the children’s charities which have lost opportunities to fund-raise during the pandemic.

Some are employing humour to cope with the situation. Frequent Doctor Who extra and creature actor Jon Davey has shared many videos of himself going about his daily activities in over-the-top protective gear.
