Series 16 has a new quintet of contestants ready to try and impress the Taskmaster.

The mighty Taskmaster is returning to Channel 4 for series 16. The all-conquering show gameshow was recommissioned by the network for three more years, or six series, back in March.

The new run launches at 9 pm on September 21st with five new contestants putting their careers on the line.

The “quivering quintet” to go before Greg Davies’ Taskmaster and his assistant Alex Horne are:

Comic Julian Clary (Friday Night Live), comedy actor, writer and stand-up Lucy Beaumont (Meet The Richardsons), multi-award winning stand-up Sam Campbell (Bloods), presenter, writer and comedian Sue Perkins (Perfectly Legal), and actor, writer and director Susan Wokoma (Cheaters).

This time around, the surreal challenges include wrangling giant ducks, designing fresh sausages and creating googly-eyed gangs.

Taskmaster Series 16 runs for 10 gruelling episodes. The 15 previous series of the show are available to stream via Channel 4.

There’s also a Junior Taskmaster coming, with hosts Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak. Plus, an official board game available via the Official Taskmaster Store.
