The show stars Wednesday’s Emma Myers as a teenage sleuth.

Ahead of a July 1st series drop on iPlayer, the BBC have released the trailer for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.

The show adapts Holly Walsh’s novel, with Wednesday star Emma Myers as its protagonist Pip Fitz-Amobi.

Unhappy with a five-year old murder conviction, Pip digs into the past and uncovers secrets and lies, finding herself drawn into the dark underside of Little Kilton.

Emma Myers leads a cast which also includes Anna Maxwell Martin (A Spy Among Friends), Gary Beadle (Small Axe) and Mathew Baynton (Wonka). Dolly Wells directs the six-part series, which comes from Moonage Pictures.

All episodes land on BBC iPlayer on Monday 1 July. The show then gets a BBC Three airing later that month.

After its UK debit, the show will appear on Netflix later in 2024. Check out Tudum for more details.

The show, staring Emma Myers and Anna Maxwell Martin, adapts Holly Jackson’s thriller.  

The BBC have released set of first look images for their upcoming series A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder.

The show stars Wednedsay‘s Emma Myers as Pip, a teenager who takes it upon herself solve a murder that the police cannot.

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder is based on a series of Young Adult mystery thrillers by writer Holly Jackson.

Here’s the synopsis:

Five years ago schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Case closed. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it. But smart and single-minded Pip Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure and she’s determined to prove it. If Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?

Joining Myers, Anna Maxwell Martin stars as Leanne, Pip’s mother, alongside Gary Beadle (Small Axe), Mathew Baynton (Ghosts) and newcomer Zain Iqbal.

The show also features a cast of rising stars: Asha Banks (The Magic Flute) as Cara, Yali Topol Margalith (The Tattoist of Auschwitz) as Lauren, Jude Morgan-Collie (Here We Go) as Connor and Raiko Gohara (Get Lost) as Zach.

Poppy Cogan (Red Rose) is the lead writer and the show’s producer is Florence Walker. The Executive producers are Matthew Read, Matthew Bouch and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures, Lucy Richer and Danielle Scott-Haughton for the BBC. Plus, Dolly Wells, Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan.

The 6-part series is a co-production with ZDFneo for Germany and filmed in the South West of England

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder comes to BBC Three and iPlayer later in 2024.
