Happy Star Wars Day! Where to begin? If you watch nothing else. we suggest The Force Awakens from its Nap a Star Wars Simpsons crossover!

If you don’t know what Star Wars Day is all about, pop here for a moment. Back? Good! We were going to lead with the big new release on Disney+, Star Wars the Bad Batch and do follow the link for some great posters, but we’ve gone for a new Maggie Simpson story — The Force Awakens from its Nap. Yes a Star Wars Simpsons crossover!

Of course there have been links before (Mark Hammill’s “Use the forks“ springs to mind), but this new story is a step or two up on that. Here’s the synopsis:

“In a daycare far, far away… but still in Springfield, Maggie is on an epic quest for her stolen pacifier. Her adventure brings her face-to-face with young Padawans, Sith Lords, familiar droids, Rebel scum, and an ultimate battle against the dark side, in this original short celebrating the Star Wars galaxy.”

We can’t think of a better way to mark the occasion (apart from the Cultbox Mandalorian rewatch interspersed with the nine films, and the other films… who needs sleep?!) What are you doing for Star Wars Day? Let us know in the comments.
