Benedict Cumberbatch is busier than ever these days, and he’s not going anywhere anytime soon – the actor has just been cast in upcoming spy thriller Ironbark.
The film follows real-life figure Greville Wynne, a British businessman who was enlisted by the CIA to help penetrate the Soviet nuclear program during the Cold War. His work alongside Russian source Oleg Penkovsky provided crucial information that helped to end the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Dominic Cooke, Tom O’Connor and Cumberbatch will all serve as producers on the film, based on a spec script by O’Connor.
You can get your Cumberbatch fix at the cinema with his role of Doctor Strange in Avengers: Infinity War, or wait for the upcoming premiere of Patrick Melrose.
