Birds of Prey’s Ashley Scott joins Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover

Birds of Prey was cancelled after just 13 episodes in 2002…

The Arrowverse’s annual crossover, which will this year play with a Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline across The CW’s DC shows, has recruited another face from long ago. This time, it’s Ashley Scott as Huntress (Helena Kyle) whom she played in the quickly-cancelled Birds of Prey series on the now-defunct WB network back in 2002.

The crossover event, which will span episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash and Arrow in December and January, 2020, has already pulled aboard other familiar faces from the past, including Tom Welling and Erica Durance from Smallville as an alternate Clark and Lois, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as Supergirl‘s version of Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Burt Ward, Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Bruce Wayne “from the future”, and LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor AND the Anti-Monitor.

Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor on Smallville, was also asked to return for Crisis on Infinite Earths, but he issued a withering statement on the possibility recently, and explained why he refused the offer.

“WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home. Their offer: No script. No idea what I’m doing. No idea when I’m shooting,” he said. “Basically no money. And the real kick in the ass: ‘We have to know now.’ My simple answer was ‘Pass.’ I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions.”

Yikes.
