The Boiling Point series reunites Stephen Graham, Vinette Robinson and Hannah Walters in the kitchen.
Back in November 2022, the BBC announced a television series based on the critical acclaimed Boiling Point.
Set amid the pressures of a restaurant kitchen, the film followed an emotionally scarred London chef wrangling with his team on the busiest day of the year. Previously announced as a five-part series, the show now continues the story across four hour-long episodes.
Eight months after her mentor Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) suffered a heart attack, head chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) is battling to forge a name for new London restaurant Point North alongside her old kitchen crew. With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, the team must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.
Alongside Stephen Graham and Vinette Robinson, most of the film’s cast reprise their roles The ensemble includes Hannah Walters, Steven Ogg, Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Anne Rose Daly, Taz Skylar, Daniel Larkai, Stephen McMillan, Hannah Traylen and Izuka Hoyle.
Additionally, the series adds Cathy Tyson, Stephen Odubola, Shaun Fagan, Joel MacCormack, Ahmed Malek and newcomer Missy Haysom.
Boiling Point comes to BBC One on Sunday 1st October at 9 pm and also streams on BBC iPlayer.
Additionally, the original movie also gets an airing on Film 4 on Saturday 30th September at 21:00.
