Showrunner Bryan Fuller has stepped away from another project, with the news that he’s quit the upcoming reboot of Amazing Stories.
Fuller, who recently left his job as showrunner on American Gods, and before that Star Trek Discovery, was hired for the Apple TV overhaul of the anthology series. He’d been attached to it since 2015, and was reportedly looking to develop something along the lines of Black Mirror. That wasn’t what Apple wanted, though, and with that in mind, a parting of the ways seemed inevitable.
No replacement for Fuller has thus far been announced, but in the meantime, Hart Hanson is set to cover some of his duties on the project.
As for Fuller, he’s still developing a television series based on Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles books.
