Rachel Talalay has been chatting about this year’s two-part Doctor Who finale in a new official interview clip.

The Tank Girl director is currently filming Episodes 11 and 12 of the new season, both written by showrunner Steven Moffat.

Talalay previously directed Season 8’s finale, ‘Dark Water’ and ‘Death in Heaven’, last year.

She told the show’s official website: “These episodes are completely different from what I did last year. Episode 11 is one of the most complicated and different episodes that I’ve ever done. I can’t tell you anything about it but it just has my head in spaghetti.”

Steven Moffat teased recently: “I’ve got a script where I’ve set myself a ludicrous challenge. When Episode 11 comes up, you’ll see just how ludicrous a challenge I’ve set myself. I’m in a state of panic about it.”

Season 9 has been filming in Cardiff since January and will begin on BBC One in September.
