DS June Lenker and DCI Daniel Hegarty have unfinished business as Criminal Record returns.
Apple TV+ have confirmed details for a second season of the intense police thriller series Criminal Record.
The show, starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo debuted to critical acclaim this January, with the pair playing officers caught in an escalating tug of war over a historic murder conviction.
The show comes from writer Paul Rutman (Indian Summers, Vera).
Here’s what we know about Criminal Record Season 2:
In season two, June is the senior officer on the scene when a political rally is attacked by far-right counter-protesters. The violent clash leaves a young man dead and June, consumed with guilt, is desperate to bring the unknown killer to justice. It seems as if her best hope is Daniel, now a key figure in the shadowy world of police intelligence. He may have the answers she needs, but to get his help, she will have to accept a dangerous bargain.
Tod Productions and STV Studios produce the show for Apple TV+. Elaine Collins (Shetland) and Chris Susman (Good Omens) executive produce, alongside Rutman, Capaldi and Jumbo.
We’ll keep you posted on Criminal Record.
