After Iron Fist and Luke Cage both bit the dust there’s a slight worry that other Marvel series on Netflix will be next for the chop. One person positive about a fourth season renewal is Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson…
Oleson was chatting to Entertainment Weekly about the entire third season of Daredevil, which released on Friday and he said, “I can tell you that I’m very hopeful to go do a season 4. There has not yet been any kind of an official pick-up, but if there is, I’m very hopeful that I will be a part of it.”
With spoilers, Oleson teased what could happen in a possible fourth season. “Let’s just say we have now seen the origin of Bullseye,” he said. “And there are many, many stories yet to tell with this cast of characters. Whether season 4 goes in that direction or another, Bullseye will be living and breathing in this world because we’ve now seen how he has been created.”
There you have it – Daredevil seems on track for a fourth season renewal but it’s worth considering that Luke Cage’s writers were in the middle of prepping future episodes when it was abruptly cancelled. Whether Daredevil will follow it remains to be seen.
