The Doctor Who rumour mill currently has Bradley Walsh in pole position to play the companion to Jodie Whittaker’s incoming Doctor. And whilst there’s been no further news on that since the story surfaced a week or two ago, Walsh has been chatting about the future of his teatime quiz show, The Chase.
The thinking had been that if Walsh took on a Who role, that’d restrict whatever work he was able to take on, due to the nine months of film that Doctor Who traditionally demands. But chatting to Metro, he confirmed that he remains committed to The Chase. “As long as they continue to ask me, I’ll continue to make it”, he said.
He added that “I just love working, it doesn’t feel like work, it’s not a proper job really is it, and as long as it feels like that, I’ll continue to do it”.
Which doesn’t tell us an awful lot, but does suggest that whatever work Walsh takes on next will have to fit around The Chase…
