On Christmas Day 2024, a trailer was released for the eight-episode Doctor Who Season Two to transmit in in the first half of 2025 starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra, Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday and Anita Dobson as the mysterious Mrs Flood.

“It’s all a game to them,” the Doctor explains ominously in the trailer. “But the games are deadly.”

A synopsis accompanied the trailer.

“The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-travelling TARDIS team must face great dangers, bigger enemies and wider terrors than ever before.”

In the Episode One, as seen in a clip played at the end of Doctor Who: Unleashed, the doctor struts into hospital ward where Belinda likely works.

Belinda is told told that a Doctor is looking for her. She is unsurprised and unimpressed.

Meanwhile, the Doctor is attempting to obtain an address from a hospital worker.

Failing persuasion, the Doctor attempts to distract the worker so he can use his sonic screwdriver to obtain the information. He causes a power failure instead. oops!

Belinda is seen inside the TARDIS demanding that the Doctor take her home. The Doctor informs her that they might have to take “the long way round.”

Large red robots appear in Episode Two.

In one episode, the Doctor meets anti-mavity explorers and joins people clinging for their lives in zero mavity (the in-universe word for gravity). Here are some images which may be from this episode.
